Mineral resources

In Kavarna municipality the mineral resources are limited to deposits of limestone, coal (part of Dobrudzha coal deposit, with a total area of about 49 square kilometers and approximately established reserves of 1200 million tons of black coal, which are not currently used) and natural gas of local importance near the village of Balgarevo.
