Water resource 

The primary valuable natural resource of Kavarna municipality is seawater. It has both recreational and economic significance. Another important resource is mineral water, which in terms of quality is table water. However, it is still not widely applied. The area is also rich in fresh groundwater that is significant in volume and an excellent source of water supply of the settlements.

In hydrographic terms it can be noted that in Kavarna municipality there are dry valleys and gullies, most of which shallow and with symmetrical slopes, with wide beds and a slight slope.

Through the municipality, in particular through the four villages of Mogilishte, Ireche, Vidno and Neykovo, Shablenska River runs. It originates from the northeastern part of the village of Mogilishte and flows into Durankulak Lake.
