Mineral resources 

The deposits of mineral resources found within Shabla municipality are oil and gas deposits. In the region of Shabla around Durankulak and Krapets there are gas deposits, but the most valuable are the oil and gas deposits in the region of Tyulenovo[1]. The last deposit was discovered in 1951 and about 600 wells were drilled in the course of time, most of which no longer operating.
